Cody Sheldon is from Detroit Michigan, and he’s 17 years old. Cody showed up at the Phoenix, Arizona auditions and surprised the judges with his unique voice. He came to the auditions with his mom and friends.
Cody is still a High School student. Naturally his High School is in an uproar about his recent achievements. He has been in many productions, including playing the part of ‘Troy’ in a high school musical’. In his freshman year he potrayed Prez in The Pajama Game, and he was a singing waiter in ‘Hello Dolly’ in his sophomore year. Cody has always been a member of his High School’s drama club, and he has also been in many commercials.
Cody has always been passionate about music. Another one of his hobbies is videography. When Cody was 16, and in his junior year of High School he directed his own ‘zombie movie’. Cody has a passion about horror films.
Something which is really impressive with Cody is that he is still only 17, and he has already tried so many different aspects within the entertainment industry. From singing, acting, directing, editing, writing, cinematography etc. He is a young multi-talented star just waiting to happen.
In Cody’s Hollywood Interview he said, “I love touching people with music. I love that feeling to have somebody else feel what you feel when you sing!”. These are not the comments you would expect to hear from your average 17 year old, but Cody certainly is not your average 17 year old.
Cody finding his way into the starlight on American Idol is just another step in this very talented young man’s career.
